An American doll-artist, sculptor, and puppet-maker, best known for her work fabricating Yoda for the 1980 film Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and creatures for the Jim Henson films The Dark Crystal and Labyrinth—including her son Toby, who played the young baby lead. Wendy is a profound contributor to cinematic history and will be receiving a life-time achievement award. In appreciation of her work, LucasFilms reached back into their StarWars archives to share with the festival behind-the-scenes images.
